Born and raised in Austin, TX, Monika began dancing at the age of 5. She trained for several years as a member of the Academy at Ballet Austin and was Captain of her competition dance team in High School where she competed in jazz, contemporary and hip hop. Monika then moved to New York City and has recently graduated with honors from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Dance. Her college dance career included performing in works by Merce Cunningham, Yin Yue and Jeremy Nelson, in venues such as Radio City Music Hall, the JOYCE Theatre, The Baryshnikov Arts Center and the Jack Crystal Theatre. During her time at NYU she also studied abroad in Berlin, Germany, where she participated in the B12 Contemporary Dance Festival and studied under renowned dancers and choreographers such as Ayman Harper, Helder Seabra, Nir de Volff and Judith Sánchez Ruíz. Monika is signed with LDC Artist Representation and will soon begin her third season as a Rockette in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Monika studies voice under Christopher Stephens.
